The South West Great British Care Awards once again celebrated the incredible people who make up our social care community. From care home and home care professionals to chefs, administrators, housekeepers, maintenance teams, and employers, every individual recognised plays a vital role in supporting dignity, independence, and wellbeing for those they care for.
This year, we were especially proud at Oaktree Court Care Home to see several of our team members named as regional finalists. Each one embodies the compassion, skill, and dedication that define our home and the heart of everything we do.
Abigail Easton: Finalist for the Care Home Worker Award
Abigail’s nomination highlights her incredible dedication. This award celebrates those who deliver exceptional, person-centred care, professionals who treat every resident with dignity, respect, and compassion while continually developing their skills. Abigail’s commitment, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond make her an exceptional role model.
Bethany Morgan: Finalist for the Care Home Newcomer Award
Bethany has made an outstanding impression in her first year in care. The Newcomer Award recognises individuals who bring fresh energy, compassion, and transferable skills into the sector.
Bethany has already demonstrated a strong understanding of her role, a genuine empathy for residents, and a commitment to learning, making her a shining example of what excellent care looks like.
Manish Karki: Finalist for the Dementia Carer Award
Manish’s nomination reflects his remarkable skill and sensitivity in supporting individuals living with dementia. This award honours those who understand the unique needs of each person, communicate with warmth and clarity, and help residents maintain their abilities and quality of life. Manish’s passion for dementia care and his ability to deliver truly personalised support make him an invaluable part of our Oaktree Court family.
Majesticare: Finalists for the Care Home Employer Award
The wider Majesticare Group was also shortlisted for the Care Home Employer Award, acknowledging our company’s commitment to creating a caring culture where people feel supported, valued, and inspired to grow. This award celebrates organisations that champion excellent care and prioritise person-centred support. We are honoured to be recognised for leading with heart and striving for excellence in every home across Majesticare.
