At Oaktree Court, we believe that care is about so much more than meeting daily needs, it’s about nurturing confidence, independence, and joy. One of the most inspiring examples of this is Pauline’s story.
When Pauline first arrived at Oaktree Court in June, she was resting and recovering from a significant stroke that had affected her mobility.
Through quality time spent with Oaktree Court’s dedicated Activities Team, Pauline discovered a renewed love for walking around the beautiful home grounds. With each walk, her confidence grew and soon, she felt inspired to take on a brand-new challenge…

Walking for a Cause
Pauline proudly took on a fundraising challenge for the Stroke Association, an organisation especially close to her heart at this stage of her journey.
Her sponsored steps challenge became more than just a fundraiser; it was a personal milestone. Step by step, Pauline built her strength and confidence, encouraged every day by her Oaktree Court family. Together, their shared steps and unwavering support helped her reach her all-important goal!
Incredible effort, Good luck Granny - Jonathan, Pauline's Grandson
Honestly we all couldn't be prouder if we tried. What a role model you are to Ezra teaching him that anything is possible when you put your mind to it. We all love you lots - Emily Holland, Pauline's Granddaughter

A Celebration of Determination
Pauline’s transformation embodies the spirit of Oaktree Court: supporting people to live life their way, with independence, purpose, and joy.
We are incredibly proud of Pauline, not just for how far she has come, but for how brightly she shines while doing it!
Here’s to every step forward, every challenge overcome, and every moment of triumph still to come.
Mum, this is an amazing achievement. Your determination is inspirational. - Gill, Pauline's Daughter
